Sweet Dreams Night Light
This sweet little snail is designed to be a night light for babies. The design brief I was given requested a small animal to enrich an existing product line (which includes a firefly lamp).
Once the snail was chosen as the subject, the most important part of the design process was defining the light effects and integrating luminous parts into the snail’s shell along with buttons and the holes for the speaker.
I also focused on several details to enhance the product. For instance, the lower part of the snail’s body is made of rubber with a raised wave texture. This detail, along with a soft spiral texture on the shell, required a careful 3D modeling approach.
Finally, the little animal’s pose and its sweet gaze complete the product, giving it a friendly and gentle look.
